Day 2: St Ives & St Michael’s Mount

On our second day in Cornwall we visited St Ives. I think it is probably the most beautiful town that I have been to in the UK so far. The houses – a mixture of shades of white, cream, and blue; the cute little narrow cobble stone alleyways; the rejuvenating salty breeze of the clear turquoise sea – which lies right at your doorstep. Basically, for those of you who, like yours truly, know that you are secretly a mermaid, this is the dream.

Jacket: Henro (similar) | Jeans: J Brand | Shoes: Mom’s shoes – not sure on the brand.

Bag: Chloé | Sunglasses: Wildfox

Our second stop was St Michael’s Mount. This castle is like straight out of a fantasy novel. It is situated on an island by the town of Marazion. When the tide is low, a magical-like cobblestone causeway appears and you can cross to the island by foot. When the tide floods in you can hop on a ferry that goes back and forth to the mainland.

It is amazing that the relatively small UK has so much beauty and diversity, and I haven’t even been north of Cambridge yet!
